AtelierTE is a boutique designer guest house in Sanur Bali. The calm and cool spaces are designed to host contemporary and traditional arts and crafts from across the Indonesian archipelago. Discrete & personal service conveys our philosophy of care and delight in a sophisticated yet relaxed and homey atmosphere. We hope to lift the spirit & energy of our guests.
Atelier is by the architects for Alila Hotels, Jeeva Resorts and Metis Restaurant. Our Head Butler and her Balinese staff are all graduates of local hospitality schools. They offer warm, attentive and professional service.

AtelierTE is a small boutique guesthouse. To maintain an atmosphere of calm & tranquility, we kindly request guests to review our Children Policy when booking.
A maximum of one (1) child up to 5 years old, can share a room with parents (no extra charge).
A family with one (1) child older than 5 years, can book a room with an extra bed (subject to availability & surcharge of 30% will apply).
A family with more than one (1) child will need to book 2 rooms and then only by prior arrangement with AtelierTE.
We recommend larger families and groups take whole villa bookings, unless by prior arrangement with AtelierTE.

PAVILION
The open guest pavilion invites you to enjoy breakfast then relax or work overlooking the garden and pool in a traditional “rumah santai” . You can delight in the Indonesian antiques and bespoke furniture made for Atelier.
KITCHEN
The gourmet kitchen offers daily buffet breakfast enjoyed in the pavilion. Our butlers will prepare and serve freshly made juice and the perfect espresso or cappuccino to start the day. Enjoy the display of seasonal tropical fruits, muesli & yoghurts, eggs to order, an Indonesian specialty or fresh breads & pastries. Coffee prepared by the butlers and a selection of Teas, Infusions and Chilled Water are available anytime at no extra charge.

The kitchen is not for guest use. If you have special diet needs, such as a gluten free breakfast, please advise us at least 48 hours prior to check-in. There will be a small surcharge advised to you.
The coffee machine is not for guest use. Our Butlers will be happy to expertly prepare your choice of coffee.
If you require lunch or dinner at Atelier, our staff can arrange delivery of Balinese, Indonesian, Italian and international
dishes by Gojek courier. They will also be happy to prepare the table and serve you. You can pay cash-on-delivery or we
can add this to your bill.
Guests my bring and keep wine in our Kitchen fridge. Our staff will be happy to serve this to you
Guests renting the whole Atelier guesthouse may bring their own chef. Alternatively our “on-call” Atelier chef can prepare your special Indonesian Rijstafel dinner party. Both are by arrangement with the Head Butler at least 2 weeks prior to check-in.
GARDEN & POOL
AtelierTE or Tirta Ening means “clear water”. The garden is designed around mature frangipani trees and landscaped with fragrant and insect repelling plants. Atelier’s long and deep pool keeps the water cool. The bale bengong is a secluded place to relax or work.
ROOMS
Atelier rooms are retreats for the active traveller who can delight in touches of luxury and design. The polished concrete floors are cool underfoot while the Kalimantan weaving in the high ceilings creates a rustic warmth. All the rooms are thoughtfully equipped and furnished. Perfect for relaxing, working or reading. Your Butler will attend any request. Family and whole property packages are available by contacting the our Head Butler.

GARDEN STUDIO
You can choose the ground floor studio arranged as a king or twin room opening to a private temple garden. The first floor studio has a tree-house deck to enjoy the breeze and views across neighbouring gardens and temples. These large 45m2 rooms have a contemporary robe and ensuite bathroom.

LOCATION
Sanur still retains the atmosphere of a Balinese village where time honoured traditions of living by spiritual practice have never changed. It has been home to Hindu priests and European artists since the 1930’s. Here Mt Agung and the sun rise over protected white sand beaches.

Sanur beach is sheltered by a reef making it safe for family swimming. Start the day with a short bicycle ride via Pura Blanjong through Sanur laneways (Gang) to Retro Beach. Stroll on the path, join a yoga class at Power of Now, enjoy a coffee at Genius Cafe or simply watch the local fishermen and seaweed farmers. The Balinese are early birds. Hyatt reef is a popular surf spot through Oct – Feb while 6 metre long kites fly in July at Pantai Mertasari.
Sanur Village has excellent shopping & dining on Jalan Danau Tamblingan & Jalan Danau Poso. Here you can find beautiful furniture, ceramics, & homewares from Carlo, Jenggala, Kevala Home, Akrea & Ashitaba. Popular and Pepito supermarkets and Red & White have local & imported groceries & wines. We can recommend lunch or dinner at Dapur Sanur (Traditional Indonesian), Batujimbar Cafe (Indonesian fusion), Massimo (Italian Trattoria), and the Fire Station for great Steak with Cotes du Rhone. Finish with a gelato from Gaya or Massimo.
